- Monastery of Baramus (Deir Al Baramus) — Our first stop is the Monastery of Baramus, or 'Deir Al Baramus,' established in 340 AD. This venerable site was founded by St. Macarius, who chose this very spot for his spiritual dedication and service to the Christian faith. It's a place where you can feel centuries of devotion.
