Valley of the KingsDay 1: From Port Ghalib to Luxor's West Bank and Mighty Karnak
Our adventure begins with an early morning pickup from your Port Ghalib hotel, whisking you away in a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle toward the ancient heart of Luxor. Here, your private Egyptologist guide awaits to lead you through a day brimming with discovery. Our first stop is the legendary Valley of the Kings, nestled across the Nile. This sacred necropolis, carved into the desert mountains, safeguards the tombs of over 60 New Kingdom pharaohs and nobles, including the celebrated Tutankhamun. Each sarcophagus chamber reveals vibrant, detailed artistry depicting journeys to the afterlife. Next, we journey to the magnificent Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut, a multi-tiered sanctuary dedicated to one of Egypt's most formidable female rulers, harmoniously blending with the dramatic cliffs of Deir el-Bahari. Our final West Bank visit is to the towering Colossi of Memnon, two gargantuan statues of Amenhotep III, silent sentinels guarding the entrance to his once-grand, now-vanished temple. After savoring a delightful lunch at a Nile-view restaurant, we cross to the East Bank to explore the unparalleled grandeur of Karnak Temple. Spanning over 247 acres, this colossal complex evolved over 2,000 years, a testament to the devotion of countless pharaohs, with its iconic Hypostyle Hall and numerous pylons, obelisks, and chapels dedicated to the gods, especially Amun-Ra. As evening approaches, we'll escort you to the train station for a comfortable, first-class rail journey to Aswan, where you'll check into your hotel for a peaceful night's rest.
- Valley of the Kings — Explore the royal tombs of pharaohs, adorned with intricate hieroglyphs and vibrant paintings.
- Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut — Admire the architectural brilliance of this unique terraced temple dedicated to the female pharaoh.
- Colossi of Memnon — Witness the imposing twin statues of Amenhotep III, guardians of the ancient necropolis.
- Karnak Temple Complex — Wander through the colossal pylons, vast courtyards, and the iconic Great Hypostyle Hall of Egypt's largest ancient religious site.

Abu Simbel TemplesDay 2: Aswan to Abu Simbel's Wonders and Return to Port Ghalib
Today promises an early start, with breakfast boxes prepared for our dawn departure. We set off on a scenic drive south to Abu Simbel, home to two of Egypt's most breathtaking ancient structures. Carved into the mountainside by Ramses II, these twin temples — the Great Temple dedicated to Ramses II himself and three state gods, and the Smaller Temple dedicated to his beloved Queen Nefertari and the goddess Hathor — are monumental achievements of ancient engineering. They are particularly famous for the 'Sun Festival,' when the sun's rays align to illuminate the inner sanctuary twice a year. After soaking in the grandeur of Abu Simbel, we'll return to Aswan for a well-deserved lunch. You'll then board a first-class train back to Luxor, where our private vehicle will be waiting to transport you comfortably back to your hotel in Port Ghalib, concluding an extraordinary two-day exploration of Egypt's legendary past.
