Itinerary
A Travel Joy Egypt representative will pick you up directly from Port Said port holding a sign with your name.
You will then be transported in an air-conditioned vehicle to Cairo which takes approximately 3 hours, joining a police convoy along the way.
The first stop is Egypt's iconic Giza Pyramids where you can get an exciting camel ride in the desert surroundings.
Next is a visit to the legendary Sphinx and Valley Temple. Lunch will be at a local restaurant. Then it's on to Sakkara, the site of Egypt's oldest cemetery where you can see the Step Pyramid of Pharaoh Zoser, the world's earliest stone monument constructed for Imhotep. Also enjoy exploring one of the magnificent Mastaba tombs of nobles such as Ptah Hotep, Idut or Mereruka.
Before returning to Port Said, a short stop will be made at a Papyrus Institute where you can shop for souvenirs.
