A Travel Joy Egypt representative will greet guests upon disembarking from their cruise in Safaga Port. A private vehicle will transport the group on the scenic 3 hour drive to reach Luxor.
Upon arrival, explorations commence at the majestic Karnak Temple Complex, once the largest place of worship ever built. Witnessing its immense Hypostyle Hall filled with towering pillars, one can envision the devotion which constructed such a site. Next up, Luxor Temple will impress with some of Egypt's best preserved wall carvings and artworks alongside the Nile. The optional Sound and Light Show sparkles at night before retiring in Luxor for overnight accommodations.
Each morning begins with a hearty hotel breakfast. Today's program involves venturing across the Nile to the West Bank. The Colossi of Memnon rise sentinel over the plain housing additional tombs and structures. Deeper inside the Valley of the Kings, a selection of pharaohs' final resting places furnish a glimpse into funerary rites and beliefs. Next, elevating terraces mark Hatshepsut's temple complex, honoring the achievements of this female pharaonic rule. Lunch replenishes before commencing the homeward drive to Safaga Port, where the cruise ship awaits its passengers now brimming with unforgettable cultural revelations.
