Pyramids of Giza Tours, Tickets & Visitor Guide
Everything you need to plan the perfect visit to the last Wonder of the Ancient World — what to see, ticket tiers and hours, and private Egyptologist-guided tours that skip the queues and the hassle.
What to See at the Pyramids of Giza
The Giza Plateau packs five of Egypt's most famous monuments into one compact desert site.
Great Pyramid of Khufu
The last surviving Wonder of the Ancient World — and the only pyramid you can enter from the inside (separate ticket).
Pyramids of Khafre & Menkaure
The second and third pyramids complete the iconic Giza skyline, with Khafre still capped by original casing stones.
The Great Sphinx
The colossal lion-bodied guardian of the plateau, best photographed from the Valley Temple viewpoint.
Khufu Solar Boat
A 4,600-year-old cedar funerary boat — one of the oldest and best-preserved vessels in the world.
Panorama Viewpoint
The desert ridge where all three pyramids align in a single frame — the classic Giza photo and camel-ride spot.
Grand Egyptian Museum
The new GEM sits minutes away, home to the complete Tutankhamun collection — easy to pair with your pyramids visit.
Plan Your Visit
Tickets
Entry is tiered: a general plateau ticket, plus optional add-ons to go inside the Great Pyramid, the Solar Boat Museum, and the smaller pyramids. Interior tickets are capped daily and sell out early — a guided tour secures them for you.
Opening Hours
The plateau is typically open from around 7:00am to 5:00pm, with extended hours in summer and a separate evening Sound & Light Show. Arrive early for cooler temperatures and the quietest photos.
How Long to Spend
Allow 2–4 hours for the plateau and Sphinx. Pair it with Saqqara and Memphis for a full day, or add the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) for a complete Cairo highlights tour.
Visit Hassle-Free
Touts, camel hawkers, and ticket queues are the most common complaints at Giza. A private Egyptologist guide handles tickets and logistics so you focus on the wonders.

Pyramids of Giza FAQ
How much do Pyramids of Giza tickets cost?+
Giza uses tiered tickets: a general plateau entry, plus optional add-ons to enter the Great Pyramid, the Solar Boat Museum, and the smaller pyramids. Prices are set by the Ministry of Tourism and change periodically, so we include the correct tickets in every private tour and keep them current for you.
What are the opening hours of the Pyramids?+
The Giza Plateau is generally open daily from about 7:00am to 5:00pm, with longer hours in summer. An evening Sound & Light Show runs separately. Early morning is the best time to beat both the heat and the crowds.
Can you go inside the Great Pyramid of Giza?+
Yes. You can enter the Great Pyramid of Khufu with a separate, limited-quantity ticket. The passages are steep and narrow, so it is not ideal for those with claustrophobia or mobility issues. We reserve interior access in advance on our private tours.
How long do you need at the Pyramids of Giza?+
Most visitors spend 2–4 hours on the plateau and at the Sphinx. To make the most of the trip, combine Giza with Saqqara, Memphis, or the Grand Egyptian Museum on a half- or full-day private tour.
Is it worth booking a guided Pyramids tour?+
A licensed Egyptologist adds the history and context that make the site come alive, secures your interior and add-on tickets, and shields you from touts and queues — turning a potentially stressful visit into a smooth, memorable one.
