Who writes our content
Our travel guides, blog articles, and destination pages are written by the Travel Joy Egypt team in Cairo — the same local experts and licensed Egyptologist guides who run our tours every week. We do not buy bulk content from content farms, and we do not publish machine-translated or auto-generated articles without human review.
First-hand research
Practical details in our guides — ticket prices, opening hours, pickup logistics, how long a visit really takes, what to wear, what to skip — come from our own visits to the sites we write about. When we recommend a hotel, a Nile cruise, or a restaurant, it is because a member of our team has been there.
Historical and cultural background is checked against reputable academic and institutional sources, including museum publications and Egyptological references.
Fact-checking and review
Every guide is reviewed by a second team member before publication. Prices, schedules, and regulations (such as visa rules) are verified against official sources at the time of writing, and each article shows when it was published or last updated.
Tour details on this site are checked against the trips we actually operate, so what you read matches what you can book.
Updates and corrections
Travel information changes fast — opening hours shift, ticket prices rise, new museums open. We re-review our highest-traffic guides regularly and update them when our guides in the field report a change.
Spotted something out of date? Tell us and we will fix it. Corrections are applied to the article and reflected in its updated date.
Editorial independence
Our guides exist to help travelers plan a better trip to Egypt, whether or not they book with us. Where an article mentions our own tours, that relationship is obvious from the context; we do not accept payment from third parties to feature their businesses in our editorial content.
