In the afternoon, travelers will discover the East bank of Luxor, including a guided tour of the expansive Karnak Temple Complex, among the largest structures ever built. Construction first began during the Middle Kingdom, with some parts tracing back to the 3rd dynasty. The principal structures are dedicated to the god Amun-Ra, regarded as his earthly abode. Next is a visit to Luxor Temple, built by a 12th dynasty pharaoh and later completed by Ramesses II. Located at the center of ancient Thebes, it shares the dedication to Amun-Ra with Karnak. Following the tours, guests will return to their cruise ship for rest. An evening folkloric show will be presented by staff, followed by dinner onboard as the ship remains docked in Luxor for the night.
A breakfast buffet will be served onboard before today's touring of Luxor's West Bank begins, exploring the Valley of the Kings and its royal tombs. This morning after breakfast onboard, guests will visit several landmarks in Aswan including the High Dam. Next is a visit to Agilika Island to explore the picturesque Temple of Philae, dedicated to Isis. The final stop is the Unfinished Obelisk, begun from a single stone but never completed. Lunch is served onboard followed by afternoon tea. The remainder of the day is spent at leisure in Aswan. Dinner and overnight onboard.

Ramses II's temples were meticulously relocated here in the 1960s after construction of the Aswan High Dam threatened to flood the area. The smaller temple was built for his wife Nefertari and honors the goddess Hathor. For those not selecting the Abu Simbel option, a transfer will be provided to Aswan airport for the return flight to Cairo after breakfast. Meals included on this last cruise day are breakfast only. Guests end their Nile cruise experience having explored Egypt's treasures from Luxor to Aswan.
