Day 1: Aswan City Tour - Aswan ONUpon arrival in Aswan, a representative from Travel Joy Egypt will greet and transfer you by private air-conditioned van to the Nile cruise ship. Check-in before 12pm. Lunch will be served onboard. Then a tour of Aswan will include visits to the High Dam built in 1960 to control Nile flooding, the Temple of Philae from the Graeco-Roman era dedicated to Goddess Isis via motorboat, and the Unfinished Obelisk made of granite for God Amun-Ra. The tour ends with your return to the ship. Dinner is provided while the evening is for leisure in Aswan. Early arrivals will start the tour directly to avoid waiting.Meals Included: Lunch, DinnerNB: If arrival in Aswan is early, the tour will start right away since check-in is at 12pm to make good use of time.
Breakfast will be served onboard the ship. Then an Egyptologist tour guide will take guests to visit the Temple of Kom Ombo, where the crocodile god Sobek and eagle god Haroeris were once worshipped. Return to the ship for lunch on the sun deck while viewing the unique Nile landscape. Afternoon activities include a chariot ride to the well-preserved Temple of Horus in Edfu. Breakfast will be served onboard the cruise ship in Luxor. Then the tour of Luxor's west bank includes exploring the Valley of the Kings, which was the burial site of Theban kings and pharaohs. Next is a visit to the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir El Bahari, known as one of the finest examples of ancient Egyptian architecture carved into the mountain. The tour concludes with the Colossi of Memnon statues of King Amenhotep III before returning to the ship for lunch. Embarkation before 12pm. An afternoon tour of Luxor's east bank includes the impressive Karnak Temples Complex, considered the largest religious structures in history dating back to the 3rd dynasty. Within the complex, the main temple is dedicated to god Amun-Ra. Then visit Luxor Temple constructed by a 12th dynasty king and added onto by Ramesses II. Return to the ship for an evening comprising folkloric entertainment and dinner onboard in Luxor. Early arrivals will start touring promptly to make full use of time since check-in is at 12pm.Meals Included: Lunch, DinnerNB: If arriving earlier in Luxor, the tour will begin right away as check-in for the cruise is at 12pm.

Then the representative will accompany guests to Aswan airport or station to catch their flight to Cairo, concluding the tour services.Optional tour: A day excursion to the Abu Simbel temples is possible either by private coach or domestic flight. Upon arrival, a local guide transfers guests to explore the monuments including the Great Temple of Ramses II dedicated to the god Ra-Horakhty and the smaller temple dedicated to the king and his wife Queen Nefertari. After the tour, the coach returns to Aswan where guests can check into a hotel for rest or transfer to the airport for an onward domestic flight.Meals Included: Breakfast
