Abundance Dahabiya Nile Cruise Itinerary
Aswan / Esna Every Friday (4 Days)
Day 1: Friday Travel Joy Egypt welcomes you upon your arrival at Aswan airport/train station. Your tour manager and Egyptologist guide will accompany you for sightseeing in Aswan. You will visit Philae Temple and the High Dam, savouring a walk around Aswan Bazaar. Afterwards, you will be escorted to board your Abundance Dahabiya sailing boat. Enjoy lunch aboard during your picturesque cruise towards Kom Ombo. Upon arrival, spend the night in Kom Ombo. Meals included: Lunch Dinner
Day 2: Saturday
Breakfast at your leisure, followed by a guided visit to the Greco-Roman Temple of Kom Ombo. The symmetrically designed temple had shrines to the falcon god Haroeris and the crocodile deity Sobek. Next, the cruise continues towards Gebel el-Silsila Temple, one of our lesser visited sites. You will be mesmerized when the boat docks beside the Speos of Hormheb. Dinner will be provided within the brilliantly-lit temple grounds or up on the deck, soft music setting the tranquil mood as the Nile scenery sorrounds you. Meals included: Breakfast Lunch Dinner
Day 3: Sunday
Start your day with breakfast, then journey by horse carriage to Edfu Temple, one of Egypt's finest preserved monuments. Two statues of Horus flank the grand entrance. Afterwards, browse or ride through the market, where you can negotiate for gifts, spices and perfumes. The boat will sail to an isle where a Nile-side dinner will be served, depending on weather conditions. Otherwise, dine on the sun deck. Get into the spirit with an EGYPTIAN EVENING OF FUN - tasty cuisine, Arabic music and traditional Gallabeyahs or belly dancing costumes. The mellow cruise continues as evening falls. Spend the night in Esna after docking there. Meals included: Breakfast Lunch Dinner
Day 4: Monday
After breakfast onboard, disembark your Abundance Dahabiya in Esna. Your Egyptologist guide will escort you to visit renowned sites in Luxor. At the Valley of the Kings, explore royal tombs. Also visit Hatshepsut Temple and the Colossi of Memnon. The tour culminates at the colossal Karnak Temple complex. A representative from Travel Joy Egypt will then transfer you to Luxor airport or train station, bringing your 4-day Nile cruise tour to a close. Meals included: Breakfast
Esna / Aswan Every Monday (5 Days)
Day 1: Monday Upon arriving in Luxor via airport or train, a representative from Travel Joy Egypt will greet and assist you. You will join an Egyptologist guide for sightseeing around Luxor, taking in the Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut Temple, Colossi of Memnon and the colossal Karnak Temple complex. Afterwards, transfer from Luxor to Esna to board your Abundance Dahabiya cruise ship. The crew welcomes you onboard, where you will spend your first night cruising the Nile to Aswan. Meals included: Lunch Dinner
Day 2: Tuesday
Following breakfast onboard, the cruise continues towards Edfu. Upon arrival around noon, visit the impressive Edfu Temple by horse-drawn carriage. Two statues of Horus flank its entranceway. Next, experience the bazaar grounds, bargaining for gifts while strolling or riding through the extensive market. After a lunch service aboard the vessel, sail to the Temple of Gebel el-Silsila, known also as the Speos of Hormheb. Dinner will be provided within the picturesque temple ambiance or on the deck itself, as serene Nile views and music relax your senses for the night ahead. Meals included: Breakfast Lunch Dinner
Day 3: Wednesday
Begin your day with breakfast onboard, then cruise towards Kom Ombo. Tour the Greco-Roman Temple of Kom Ombo before resuming the pleasant voyage towards Aswan. Take in delightful river sights - water buffalo wading leisurely, donkeys going about daily tasks on shore, and diverse birds thriving near the Nile. As evening falls, moor your vessel near the entrance of Aswan city for overnight rest. Meals included: Breakfast Lunch Dinner
Day 4: Thursday
Have breakfast aboard before discovering Philae Temple and the impressive High Dam. Savour an invigorating walk around the bustling Aswan Bazaar. Later, return to your cruise vessel to unwind during an amazing evening beside the Nile in Aswan. Overnight onboard. Meals included: Breakfast Lunch Dinner
Day 5: Friday
After breakfast onboard, disembark your Nile vessel. A Travel Joy Egypt representative will then transfer you to Aswan airport or train station, where you can catch your final departure from this historic city. Meals included: Breakfast
