Program 1: Every Friday (4 Days / 3 Nights)
Day 1: Aswan City Tour - Aswan ON Upon arrival in Aswan on a Friday, a representative from Travel Joy Egypt will greet you and transfer you by private air-conditioned van to the luxurious Princess Sarah Nile cruise ship for check-in before 12pm. You will then enjoy a lunch meal aboard the ship. Following lunch, you will be taken to visit the High Dam, built in 1960 by President Gamal Abdel Nasser to protect Egypt from Nile floods. Then you will embark on a motorboat ride along the Nile to reach Philae Temple, constructed during Greco-Roman times and dedicated to goddess Isis. Your last stop will be a guided tour of the Unfinished Obelisk, a massive red granite structure intended for the sun god Amun Ra. Once the touring concludes, you will return to the cruise ship. In the evening, you will be free to explore Aswan at your leisure. Dinner will be provided onboard. Note that if your arrival time is early, the tour may begin upon arrival instead of waiting until 12pm for check-in, to make optimal use of time. Meals included are lunch and dinner.
Day 2: Kom Ombo - Edfu & ON
Breakfast will be served onboard the morning. Later, you and your Egyptologist guide will visit the wonderful Temple of Kom Ombo, where the crocodile god Sobek and falcon god Haroeris were once worshipped. Following the guided tour, you will return to the ship to enjoy lunch on the sun deck with stunning river views. In the afternoon, you will experience the activity of chariot riding to the well-preserved Temple of Horus in Edfu. After learning about this sacred site, you will be transferred back to the cruise vessel. For the rest of the afternoon, relax aboard the ship. Dinner will then be served as evening arrives. An entertaining Egyptian Folkloric Show performed by the staff will be the highlight of your night onboard. Meals included are breakfast, lunch and dinner. All landmark sightseeing and activities are being conducted keeping in mind the safety, guidelines, and best practices for ensuring a memorable experience.
Day 3: Luxor West Bank - Luxor ON
You will begin your day with a scrumptious breakfast onboard the cruise ship. Then set out on a magical tour of ancient Thebes’ west bank in Luxor. Your Egyptologist guide will lead you through the sacred Valley of the Kings, final resting place for Theban pharaohs. Next on the itinerary is a visit to the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir El Bahari, an architectural marvel strategically carved within the mountainside. After gaining insights into its history, proceed to the Colossi of Memnon statues belonging to King Amenhotep III. Once the touring concludes, you will return to the ship to enjoy lunch. The afternoon is kept free for leisure activities. A lavish dinner will be served in the evening along with overnight stay onboard as the vessel cruises along the Nile. You will have your breakfast on the cruise ship at 8:00 AM before checkout. Then commence exploring the magnificent East Bank of Luxor. Your Egyptologist will guide you through the extensive Karnak Temples Complex, considered the world's largest religious site spanning over 100 acres. Following this architectural marvel, unwind at the Temple of Luxor established by a 12th dynasty king and later completed by Ramesses II. Once the illuminating day tour comes to an end, you will be transferred by private air-conditioned van to yourLuxor accommodation where Travel Joy Egypt's services conclude. Breakfast is the only meal included for the day as you disembark the cruise after the fun-filled and educational Egyptian river adventure coming to a close. Program 2: Every Monday (5 Days / 4 Nights)
Day 1: Luxor East Bank - Luxor ON Upon arrival in Luxor by air or train, a representative from Travel Joy Egypt will meet you and transfer to the Nile cruise ship by private air-conditioned van. Embarkation must be done before 12pm. That afternoon, you will be immersed in exploring Luxor's fascinating East Bank heritage trail. Under expert guidance, uncover the sprawling Karnak Temples Complex - humanity's largest religious edifice ever constructed, honouring god Amun Ra. Structures here span from the 3rd dynasty until the middle kingdom. Next up is Luxor Temple, established by a 12th dynasty monarch within the city heart, and later augmented by Ramesses II; it too venerates Amun Ra.
