Itinerário

Karnak TempleDay 1 (5-Day) — Luxor: Karnak & Luxor Temples
Embark before lunch with a warm traditional welcome and settle into your cabin. The afternoon belongs to the East Bank: your Egyptologist leads you through the immense Karnak Temple Complex, where the Great Hypostyle Hall lifts 134 inscribed columns skyward and the Avenue of Ram-Headed Sphinxes recalls ancient processions to Amun-Re. You then visit Luxor Temple, admiring the colossal statues of Ramses II. Pause for tea on the sun deck before dinner and your first night aboard in Luxor.

Valley of the KingsDay 2 (5-Day) — Luxor West Bank: Valley of the Kings, then Sail to Esna
Cross to the West Bank for a morning of legends: the Valley of the Kings, where three royal tombs cut into the Theban cliffs glow with afterlife scenes, the terraced Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir el-Bahari, and the towering Colossi of Memnon. Lunch is served as the Grand Rose sets sail south, gliding through the Esna Lock past green farmland and riverside villages. An optional sunrise hot-air balloon can be arranged. Dinner and overnight sailing toward Edfu.
Day 3 (5-Day) — Edfu & Kom Ombo: Temples of Horus and Sobek
A horse-drawn carriage delivers you to the Temple of Horus at Edfu, the most completely preserved temple of antiquity, whose Ptolemaic reliefs recount the falcon god's battle with Seth. Lunch is served as you sail to Kom Ombo, home to a rare symmetrical temple honoring Sobek the crocodile god and Horus the Elder, with carvings of medical instruments and a crocodile mummification museum. Dinner and overnight sailing onward to Aswan.

Philae TempleDay 4 (5-Day) — Aswan: Philae Temple, High Dam & Unfinished Obelisk
Begin at the Aswan High Dam, a feat of modern engineering that tamed the Nile, before taking a motorboat to the island Temple of Philae, sacred to Isis and relocated stone-by-stone in a famed UNESCO rescue. Visit the colossal Unfinished Obelisk lying in its granite quarry. Lunch is aboard, with the afternoon free for leisure, an optional felucca sail, or a colorful Nubian village visit. Dinner and overnight in Aswan.

Abu Simbel TemplesDay 5 (5-Day) — Aswan: Farewell & Optional Abu Simbel
Enjoy a final breakfast aboard before disembarking in Aswan. Travelers with extra time can add an early-morning excursion to Abu Simbel, the monumental rock-cut temples of Ramses II and Queen Nefertari that face the rising sun and were raised above Lake Nasser during a celebrated UNESCO relocation. Your Travel Joy Egypt representative assists with your onward transfer to the airport, your hotel, or your next destination.

Unfinished ObeliskDay 1 (4-Day) — Aswan: High Dam, Philae & Unfinished Obelisk
Embark before lunch in Aswan and ease into river life. The afternoon tour takes in the Aswan High Dam with its broad views over Lake Nasser, the elegant island Temple of Philae reached by motorboat and dedicated to the goddess Isis, and the Unfinished Obelisk resting in the pharaohs' ancient granite quarry, a window into how these giants were carved. Return aboard for dinner and your first overnight moored in Aswan.

Abu Simbel TemplesDay 2 (4-Day) — Kom Ombo: Temple of Sobek & Horus (Optional Abu Simbel)
Early risers may add the optional excursion to Abu Simbel to admire the rock-cut temples of Ramses II and Nefertari at sunrise. The ship then sails to Kom Ombo, where a striking twin temple honors Sobek the crocodile god and Horus the Elder side by side, complete with reliefs of surgical instruments and a museum of mummified crocodiles. Lunch and dinner are served aboard as the Grand Rose continues sailing toward Edfu overnight.

Luxor TempleDay 3 (4-Day) — Edfu & Luxor: Temple of Horus and East Bank
A horse carriage carries you to the Temple of Horus at Edfu, the best-preserved temple in Egypt, with its grand pylon and sacred inner sanctuary. Lunch is served as you sail on to Luxor. In the afternoon you explore the vast Karnak Temple Complex dedicated to Amun-Re, then Luxor Temple aglow at golden hour with its obelisks and illuminated courtyards. Dinner and overnight moored in Luxor.

Day 4 (4-Day) — Luxor West Bank & Disembarkation
After breakfast and check-out, cross to the West Bank for the finale: the Valley of the Kings with three royal tombs and an optional visit to Tutankhamun's tomb, the dramatic limestone Temple of Queen Hatshepsut set against the cliffs, and the imposing Colossi of Memnon overlooking the Theban plain. Your guide then assists with your onward transfer, bringing a memorable Nile voyage to a close.
