Valley of the KingsDay 1: Luxor's Timeless West Bank and Karnak's Grandeur
Your expert Travel Joy Egypt representative will greet you directly at your Port Said cruise ship. We'll then ensure a seamless transfer to Cairo Airport for your flight to the ancient city of Luxor. Upon arrival, your dedicated Egyptologist guide and comfortable air-conditioned vehicle await to begin your exploration of Luxor's West Bank. First, we journey to the 'Valley of the Kings,' the legendary necropolis where generations of pharaohs, including Tutankhamun, chose their eternal resting places. Next, we visit the Temple of Hatshepsut, a stunning terraced mortuary temple built for one of Egypt's most powerful female pharaohs. Our exploration continues to the Colossi of Memnon, two massive stone statues guarding the entrance to a now-vanished temple. A scenic Nile River boat trip will lead us to a charming island restaurant for lunch. In the afternoon, we immerse ourselves in the colossal Karnak Temple Complex, an unparalleled collection of temples, chapels, and pylons dedicated primarily to the Theban Triad. As the day concludes, you'll be transferred to a luxurious 5-star hotel in Luxor for your overnight stay.
- Valley of the Kings — Delve into the rock-cut tombs of pharaohs like Tutankhamun and Ramses II, adorned with intricate hieroglyphs and vibrant wall paintings preserving ancient beliefs.
- Hatshepsut Temple — Admire the unique terraced architecture of this mortuary temple, a testament to the might and influence of ancient Egypt's most renowned female ruler.
- Colossi of Memnon — Stand before these two colossal stone statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III, silent sentinels guarding what was once his magnificent mortuary temple.
- Karnak Temple Complex — Wander through the sprawling precinct of Karnak, an unparalleled ancient religious site featuring towering obelisks, the Hypostyle Hall, and numerous sanctuaries.

Giza PyramidsDay 2: Cairo's Pyramids, Sphinx, and Museum Wonders
After a delightful breakfast at your Luxor hotel and checking out, we'll escort you to Luxor Airport for your flight back to Cairo. Upon arrival in Cairo, your private Egyptologist guide will be waiting to lead you to the iconic Giza Plateau. Here, you'll witness the Great Pyramids, including Khufu's magnificent structure, an enduring symbol of ancient ingenuity. Next, we encounter the enigmatic Great Sphinx, a mythical guardian carved from a single limestone bedrock, its timeless gaze fixed on the horizon. We'll also explore the Valley Temple, key to the pharaonic mummification process. Lunch will be served at a restaurant offering exquisite views of the pyramids or the Nile. In the afternoon, we continue to either the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) – a state-of-the-art facility showcasing over 5,000 artifacts from Tutankhamun's tomb and other national treasures – or the distinguished Egyptian Museum in Tahrir Square, depending on the latest operational status. As evening approaches, you'll be comfortably transferred back to your cruise ship in Port Said, filled with memories of Egypt's unparalleled heritage.
