Lunch will be served onboard. Afterwards, you will visit the High Dam built by Gamal Abdel Nasser in 1960 to control flooding. Then a motorboat will take you to Philae Temple, constructed in the Greco-Roman period for Isis. You will also see the Unfinished Obelisk made of granite for Amun Ra. The tour ends with your return to the ship. Dinner and free time onboard in Aswan. Should you arrive early, the tour may begin upon arrival as check-in is at 12pm to make efficient use of time. Breakfast will be served onboard the ship. Then you will join an Egyptologist guide to visit Kom Ombo Temple, where Sobek and Haroeris were worshipped. Checkout will be after breakfast at 08:00 AM. Then discover the East Bank of Luxor including the vast Karnak Temples Complex, the world's largest construction covering 100 acres. That afternoon discover the East Bank including the spectacular Karnak Temples Complex, the largest man-made structures housing the god Amun Ra since the Middle Kingdom. Proceed to Luxor Temple within the ancient city of Thebes, also dedicated to Amun Ra. Return to the ship for evening activities including a folklore show. Dinner is served with overnight onboard in Luxor. Should arrival time be early, the tour may commence immediately to make full use of time as check-in isn't until 12pm. Meals included: Lunch Dinner
Breakfast will be served onboard your ship in Luxor. Today's West Bank exploration includes a magical tour of Thebes visiting the Valley of the Kings royal burial site. Also make a stop at Hatshepsut Temple, a remarkably carved example within the mountainside. The tour concludes at the Colossi of Memnon statues. Return to the ship for lunch. Checkout is after breakfast. Travel Joy Egypt's local representative will accompany you to Aswan airport or station for your return flight to Cairo. Optional tour: Enjoy an excursion to Abu Simbel by private vehicle or domestic flight for guided touring. Meet an English-speaking guide in Aswan and transfer to the temples of Abu Simbel located south of Aswan along the Nile in what was once Nubia. Explore the Great Temple of Ramses II and the smaller temple dedicated to himself and his wife Queen Nefertari. After completion return to Aswan for hotel accommodation before continuing your journey or taking the flight. Meals Included: Breakfast
