Giza PyramidsDay 1: Fly to Cairo & Explore Giza's Ancient Marvels
Your Cairo adventure begins with a comfortable transfer from your Makadi Bay hotel to Hurghada Airport for a short flight to Cairo. Upon arrival, your private Egyptologist guide will greet you and kick off your journey into the ancient past. We'll head straight to the Giza Plateau, home to the legendary Pyramids of Giza, including the Great Pyramid of Khufu—the last standing wonder of the ancient world. Marvel at the enigmatic Great Sphinx and explore the mortuary complex, including the Valley Temple, where pharaohs were prepared for the afterlife. Afterward, we'll visit the state-of-the-art Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM), a monumental new facility housing an unprecedented collection, including the entire Tutankhamun assemblage. After a delightful lunch at a local restaurant, our journey continues to Saqqara, where you'll stand before the Step Pyramid of Djoser, considered the world's first stone building and a testament to the genius of Imhotep. As day turns to night, we'll transfer you to your five-star Cairo hotel for a restful evening.

After a hearty breakfast and check-out from your hotel, your guide will lead you on the second day of your Cairo exploration. Our first stop is the Egyptian Museum, a massive repository holding over 250,000 artifacts spanning five millennia of Egyptian civilization. Following another authentic Egyptian lunch, we'll journey to the imposing Cairo Citadel, a medieval Islamic fortress founded by Saladin, offering spectacular city views and housing the beautiful Alabaster Mosque of Muhammad Ali. Next, we visit the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization (NMEC), renowned for its 'Royal Mummies Hall,' where you can come face-to-face with ancient kings and queens. Our day culminates with a stroll down Al-Muizz Street, an 'open-air museum' showcasing exquisite Islamic architecture, and a chance to experience the vibrant atmosphere and artisan crafts of the Khan el-Khalili Bazaar. Finally, we'll transfer you back to Cairo Airport for your flight to Hurghada, followed by a comfortable ride back to your Makadi Bay hotel, concluding your memorable two-day journey through Egypt's capital.
