Lunch will be served onboard. Next, you will tour the impressive Abu Simbel Temple complex, located on the west bank of the Nile between the first and second cataracts. Built in the 13th century BC under Pharaoh Rameses II, the structures were carved out of stone and later moved in 1968 when the Aswan High Dam was constructed. After the fascinating tour, spend the afternoon relaxing onboard over tea before dinner. In the evening, an unforgettable Sound and Light show at Abu Simbel Temple will transport you back in time, using music and multimedia projections to vividly depict how the site appeared in ancient days. Lunch is served before disembarking with a guide to explore important temples. The Temple of Amada will be the first stop, erected under Thutmose III then expanded by his successors. Next, the Temple of Derr displays Rameses II's skilled rock cut design, one of Egypt's most powerful pharaohs. Finally, the rare rock cut tomb of Viceroy Pennut is seen, also relocated like nearby structures due to the Aswan Dam. The following morning, breakfast is available onboard as guests embark on a visit to the remarkable Wadi El Seboua archaeological site. Home to relocated monuments, it offers insight into the "New Kingdom" period plus Temples of Dakka and Maharraqua. Many start the exploration along the "Valley of Lions", a sphinx-lined path leading to the Temple of Amenhotep III honouring the Nubian god Horus. Built during his reign, the rock cut structure retains its brick pylon, courtyards and painted halls. On the final morning, breakfast will be provided onboard before travelling with an Egyptologist guide. The first highlight is Temple of Kalabsha, situated near the High Dam and often the initial stop on Lake Nasser voyages. Originally located farther south, it was relocated here after dam construction. Built under the Ptolemies yet finished during Augustus' reign, the temple blends Egyptian, Roman and Nubian artistic styles depicting various rulers paying homage to Mandulis. Afterwards, guests will disembark and check out, then a Travel Joy Egypt representative will transfer everyone back to their selected hotel in Aswan, concluding the enlightening Lake Nasser cruise itinerary.Meals included: Breakfast

Next, a short motorboat ride will take you to Agilika Island to explore the Temple of Philae, a Greco-Roman structure dedicated to goddess Isis. You will also visit the quarry holding an immense unfinished obelisk crafted from red granite under Pharaoh Hatshepsut's reign. Breakfast will be served aboard your Nile cruise. Today, your Egyptologist guide will first explore the Temple of Kalabsha located near the High Dam. Mostly hewn from the rock face, it was accessed through the façade’s central entrance. After refreshing onboard, lunch will be enjoyed as the cruise continues north through the Tropic of Cancer en route to Wadi El Sebou. After exploring the area, lunch will be enjoyed back onboard as the boat sails north.This afternoon's exploration is the Temple of Amada. Considered the oldest monument along Lake Nasser, the temple dates to the 18th Dynasty before both Ramesses II and Abu Simbel. However, as was customary, marks were later added within by both Ramesses and his son Merenptah.
