Giza PyramidsDay 1: Soaring to Cairo & Encountering Iconic Pyramids
Your adventure begins with a seamless transfer from your Soma Bay hotel to Hurghada Airport for a scenic flight to Cairo. Upon arrival, you'll be warmly greeted by your private Egyptologist guide. Today is dedicated to the incomparable wonders of Giza. We'll begin at the plateau dominated by the monumental Pyramids of Khufu, Khafre, and Menawre – testaments to ancient Egyptian ingenuity and their belief in the afterlife. Pause to admire Khufu's awe-inspiring Great Pyramid, the only remaining ancient wonder. Next, we'll stand before the majestic Sphinx, silently guarding the necropolis with its lion's body and pharaoh's head. Our journey continues to the Valley Temple, where the intricate rituals of mummification were once performed. After a delightful lunch with views of the pyramids, we'll proceed to the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM), a state-of-the-art facility safeguarding untold treasures of millennia past, including the golden splendors of Tutankhamun. After a day immersed in history, retire to your luxurious Cairo hotel.
