Day 1: Aswan City Tour - Aswan ON Upon arrival in Aswan, a Travel Joy Egypt representative will transfer you by private air-conditioned van to your Nile cruise ship. Check-in before 12 PM. After lunch onboard, you will visit the High Dam built in 1960 by Gamal Abdel Nasser to prevent Nile flooding. Then a motor boat will sail to Philae Temple, built in the Graeco-Roman era for goddess Isis. Your last stop is the Unfinished Obelisk made of granite for Amun-Ra. After the tour, you return to your ship. Nighttime is free in Aswan. Lunch and dinner included. The tour starts on arrival if early to avoid any wait time at the cruise lobby before 12 PM check-in.

After breakfast, a representative accompanies guests to Aswan airport/station for the flight to Cairo, ending our services. Optional tour: Guests can visit Abu Simbel temples bycoach or domestic flight. The guide transfers guests by private air-conditioned van to the temples, first documenting Meha. Abu Simbel landmarks include the massive temple dedicated to Ra-Harakhty built for Ramesses II and the smaller temple honoring him and Nefertari. After touring, transfer back, arriving in Aswan where private van transports guests to their Aswan hotel or the airport for the domestic flight onwards. Meal included: Breakfast
