Itinerary
Day 01: Airport Pickup
Airport pick-up to your hotel.


Day 02: Tour of Giza and Surrounding Areas
At 8:45 am, the tour guide from Travel Joy Egypt will pick you up from your hotel to start the day's activities. First, you will visit the three great pyramids at Giza - Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure. Then continue to the Sphinx and Valley Temple. Next is a trip to Saqqara to view the Step Pyramid of Djoser, the oldest stone pyramid in Egypt. Time allowing, nearby tombs from earlier dynasties will be seen which still contain original wall decorations. The tour then proceeds to the Mit Rahina Museum at Memphis to observe artifacts like a large statue of King Ramses II. The museum gardens provide additional points of interest.


Day 03: Alexandria Tour
The tour guide will pick you up from the hotel at 7:00 AM to start the day trip to Alexandria. The first stop is the Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa, a significant underground Roman-era cemetery. Next is Pompey's Pillar, a monument constructed in the fourth century AD to honor Emperor Diocletian. Lunch will be taken at a local Alexandria restaurant. After lunch, the tour visits Qaitbay Citadel, an important defensive fort. The final sights are the Roman Theatre and Alexandria Bibliotheca remains. The tour returns to Cairo, arriving back at the hotel in the late afternoon. Transportation is provided throughout by Travel Joy Egypt.


Day 04: Cairo City Tour
City Tour Begins at 9:00 AM The tour guide will pick you up from the hotel at 9:00 AM. The first stop is the Citadel of Salah El Din, a fortress constructed in the 12th century using limestone from Giza. It later became the royal residence. Next is lunch at a public restaurant. After, major sights visited include the Grand Egyptian Museum housing Tutankhamun artifacts and the extensive pharaonic collections. The final tour area is Coptic Cairo featuring landmarks like the Hanging Church of Virgin Mary. Other visits are made to the Coptic Museum and Abu Serja Church site of the holy family. Concluding the day is a stroll through the Khan el Khalili markets. Transportation from all sights and to the airport afterward is provided by Travel Joy Egypt staff.
