Tower Prestige Nile Cruise
Overview
Sail the Tower Prestige Nile Cruise from Luxor to Aswan. Deluxe 5-star ship, 4 or 5-day temple itineraries, full board. From $635 per person. Book today.
Glide between Luxor and Aswan aboard the deluxe 5-star Tower Prestige Nile Cruise, where ancient temples, fine dining, and Nubian sunsets fill every day.
The Tower Prestige is a polished five-star vessel built for travelers who want the legendary monuments of Upper Egypt without sacrificing comfort. Sailing the classic Luxor–Edfu–Kom Ombo–Aswan corridor, she pairs sun-deck lounging and a refreshing pool with attentive full-board service. As a veteran private Egyptologist guide, I can promise that few experiences match waking to a temple-lined riverbank and stepping ashore with an expert at your side.
Two departure rhythms suit different schedules. The 4-day / 3-night program sails every Monday from Aswan, perfect for travelers who want the essential highlights in a compact window. The 5-day / 4-night program departs every Thursday from Luxor, adding an unhurried extra day to savor the West Bank, the Esna Lock passage, and Aswan's Nubian charm.
Both routes thread together the same world-class sights — the Karnak Temple Complex, Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Horus at Edfu, the dual-deity Kom Ombo Temple, the High Dam, and the romantic island Temple of Philae.
Cabins are air-conditioned and elegantly appointed, each with a private bath and shower, satellite TV, and a mini bar, so you return from every excursion to a restful retreat. Onboard you'll find a lower-deck restaurant serving generous full-board menus, a lounge bar and library, a sun-deck swimming pool and bar, a spa with a massage room, a boutique and jeweler, WiFi, and a 24-hour doctor — everything that defines a genuine deluxe Nile experience.
This cruise suits couples seeking a honeymoon afloat, families wanting a hassle-free introduction to ancient Egypt, and small groups (capped at eight per guide) who prefer intimate, personalized touring. When you book with Travel Joy Egypt, you get a hand-picked private Egyptologist, complimentary East Bank airport and station transfers, all entrance fees between Luxor and Aswan, transparent pricing, and round-the-clock support.

Itinerary

Karnak TempleDay 1 (5-Day) — Luxor: Karnak & Luxor Temples
Board the Tower Prestige before lunch and settle into your cabin with a warm Egyptian welcome. In the afternoon your private Egyptologist leads you through the vast Karnak Temple Complex, walking the Avenue of Ram-Headed Sphinxes, the towering First Pylon, and the Great Hypostyle Hall with its 134 colossal columns. Continue to Luxor Temple, glowing in the late sun, with its giant Ramses II statues and floodlit courtyards. Return for tea on the sun deck, dinner, and an overnight moored in Luxor.

Valley of the KingsDay 2 (5-Day) — Luxor West Bank: Valley of the Kings & Hatshepsut, Sail to Esna
Cross to the legendary West Bank after breakfast. Descend into three vividly painted royal tombs in the Valley of the Kings, then marvel at the terraced Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir el-Bahari and the towering Colossi of Memnon. Back aboard for lunch, the ship casts off and sails south past green villages, slipping through the Esna Lock. Dinner and overnight sailing toward Edfu. An optional sunrise hot-air balloon over ancient Thebes can be arranged for the early risers.
Day 3 (5-Day) — Edfu & Kom Ombo: Temples of Horus and Sobek
Ride a horse-drawn carriage to the Temple of Horus at Edfu, the most completely preserved temple in Egypt, where carved walls recount the cosmic battle of Horus and Seth. Return to lunch aboard as the ship glides to Kom Ombo. There you tour the rare symmetrical Kom Ombo Temple, shared between the crocodile god Sobek and Horus the Elder, with its famous medical reliefs, ancient calendar, and crocodile-mummy museum. Dinner and overnight sailing onward to Aswan.

Philae TempleDay 4 (5-Day) — Aswan: High Dam, Philae Temple & Unfinished Obelisk
Begin in Aswan with the mighty High Dam and its sweeping views over Lake Nasser. Take a short motorboat to Agilkia Island for the enchanting Temple of Philae, dedicated to the goddess Isis and rescued stone by stone in a UNESCO effort. Visit the ancient granite quarries to see the Unfinished Obelisk, the largest ever attempted. Lunch aboard, then a relaxed afternoon with an optional felucca sail or a visit to a colorful Nubian village. Dinner and overnight in Aswan.

Abu Simbel TemplesDay 5 (5-Day) — Aswan: Optional Abu Simbel & Disembarkation
Enjoy a final breakfast on board before disembarking in Aswan. Travelers who wish to extend the adventure can add an early-morning excursion to Abu Simbel by car or short flight (extra cost), where the colossal rock-cut temples of Ramses II and Queen Nefertari face the rising sun above Lake Nasser. Our team handles your East Bank transfer to the airport, train station, or onward hotel, closing your voyage with the same seamless service it began with.

Philae TempleDay 1 (4-Day) — Aswan: High Dam, Philae Temple & Unfinished Obelisk
Embark the Tower Prestige in Aswan before lunch and settle into your cabin. The afternoon brings your first highlights: the colossal High Dam with panoramic Lake Nasser vistas, a motorboat ride to the romantic island Temple of Philae honoring the goddess Isis, and the ancient granite quarries that cradle the Unfinished Obelisk. Your private Egyptologist brings each site to life with stories of pharaohs and engineers alike. Dinner and overnight moored in Aswan.

Abu Simbel TemplesDay 2 (4-Day) — Kom Ombo: Optional Abu Simbel & Temple of Sobek
Early risers may add the unforgettable Abu Simbel temples of Ramses II and Nefertari (optional, extra cost) before returning to sail north. As the ship glides toward Kom Ombo, watch the riverbanks slide by from the sun deck. In the afternoon, tour the unique twin Kom Ombo Temple dedicated to the crocodile god Sobek and Horus the Elder, with its remarkable medical reliefs and museum of mummified crocodiles. Dinner and overnight sailing toward Edfu.

Karnak TempleDay 3 (4-Day) — Edfu & Luxor: Temple of Horus, Karnak & Luxor Temples
A horse-drawn carriage carries you to the Temple of Horus at Edfu, one of Egypt's most complete temples, where reliefs trace the legend of Horus and Seth. Return to lunch aboard as the ship sails to Luxor. In the late afternoon explore the immense Karnak Temple Complex dedicated to Amun-Re, with its Great Hypostyle Hall of 134 columns, then visit Luxor Temple glowing in golden hour with its statues, obelisks, and lit courtyards. Dinner and overnight in Luxor.

Valley of the KingsDay 4 (4-Day) — Luxor West Bank: Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut & Disembarkation
After breakfast and check-out, your private guide leads a final morning on the West Bank. Explore three royal tombs in the Valley of the Kings (with optional Tutankhamun's tomb for an extra fee), the dramatic cliffside Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, and the towering Colossi of Memnon. With your voyage complete, we arrange your seamless East Bank transfer to the airport, station, or onward hotel, ending your Tower Prestige journey on a high note.
