The group departs by air-conditioned vehicle at 11 PM for the roughly two-hour drive to the base of Mount Sinai, then sets out on foot with a local guide for a moderate 2.5-hour climb along winding mountain paths under starlight. The trek is timed to reach the summit area shortly before sunrise, around 5:30 AM, for views over the surrounding desert peaks as daylight breaks. After descending partway, the group visits St.
Catherine's Monastery, a religious site with roots in the 6th century, before hiking back down and returning to base for the drive home, with a picnic lunch provided along the way.
The tour includes roundtrip transportation from Dahab or Sharm El Sheikh hotels, a professional English-speaking guide, all necessary permits and fees, and the monastery's admission and guided tour; dinner and any activities outside the itinerary are not included.

Itinerary
We will meet at the designated meeting spot and depart in a comfortable air-conditioned vehicle at 11:00 PM for our journey into the mountains. Snacks and water will be provided for the 2 hour drive to the base of Mount Sinai.
Upon arrival at the base, we will have a brief orientation with our expert local guide before starting our hike up the winding mountain paths under the light of the stars. The route is moderate in difficulty but the scenery is more than worth the effort.
With steady effort, we aim to arrive at St. Catherine's Monastery just before sunrise around 5:30 AM. Our guide will share insights as we take in the incredible vista, watching the sky slowly light up in brilliant colors. This is surely the highlight of the entire trip.
St. Catherine's MonasteryAfter taking photos and appreciating the magic of the new day, we will explore the historic monastery and learn about its long religious history dating back to the 6th century. Plenty of time is allotted to see iconic structures and artifacts.
Refreshed, we will commence the 2.5 hour hike back down the mountain, taking in the stunning views from a new perspective. A picnic lunch will be provided before beginning the 2 hour drive back to base, arriving in the late afternoon full of wonderful memories.
