Overview

This four-day tour pairs Cairo and Aswan with transport and support built for wheelchair users, including adapted private vehicles, dedicated accessibility assistance at each site, and accessible rooms in both cities. A private, licensed Egyptologist guide leads the sightseeing throughout, with round-trip domestic flights connecting Cairo and Aswan.
After an arrival day for rest in Cairo, the tour covers the Giza Pyramids Complex and the Great Sphinx, along with either the Grand Egyptian Museum or the Egyptian Museum, before flying south to Aswan. There, the group visits the Aswan High Dam, a major feat of twentieth-century engineering, the Unfinished Obelisk, still embedded in its original quarry, and Philae Temple, relocated to its current island site to save it from rising Nile waters, before flying back to Cairo.
Two nights in a Cairo hotel and one night in an Aswan hotel, round-trip domestic flights, accessible air-conditioned vehicles adapted for wheelchair travelers, dedicated support personnel at historical sites, luggage handling, the guide's services, two lunches, and entrance fees to every site are included.
International airfare, the Egypt entry visa, and gratuities are not covered. With adapted vehicles and on-site accessibility support built into every stage rather than added on request, this itinerary is designed specifically for wheelchair users who want Cairo and Aswan's landmarks covered without compromise.

Itinerary

Upon your arrival at Cairo International Airport, a friendly Travel Joy Egypt representative will meet you, assist with all airport formalities, and ensure a comfortable transfer to your hotel. Settle in and enjoy a relaxing evening, preparing for the incredible adventure that awaits.

Giza PyramidsBegin your day with an energizing breakfast before setting out to explore some of Egypt's most iconic landmarks. Journey to the Giza Plateau, home to the Great Pyramids – King Khufu's monumental tomb, the slightly smaller Pyramid of Khafre, and the compact yet perfectly formed Pyramid of Menkaure. Marvel at the Great Sphinx, guarding these ancient wonders with its enigmatic gaze. Depending on opening schedules, we'll immerse ourselves in the vast collections of either the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM), a state-of-the-art facility showcasing Tutankhamun's treasures and much more, or the classic Egyptian Museum in Tahrir Square, brimming with artifacts from various dynastic periods. After a delicious local lunch, we'll transfer you to Cairo Airport for your flight south to Aswan. Upon arrival, you'll be taken to your hotel, offering picturesque views of the Nile.
- Giza Pyramids Complex — Witness the ancient pyramids of Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure, enduring symbols of ancient Egyptian power and ingenuity.
- Great Sphinx — Contemplate the iconic half-man, half-lion statue, a mythical guardian carved from living rock.
- Grand Egyptian Museum (or Egyptian Museum) — Dive into Egypt's rich past, exploring priceless artifacts, including the complete collection from Tutankhamun's tomb, at either the new GEM or the venerable Tahrir museum.

After a delightful breakfast, your expert Egyptologist will guide you through Aswan's fascinating sights. We'll visit the Aswan High Dam, a monumental achievement of 20th-century engineering that reshaped Egypt's landscape and economy. Next, discover the Unfinished Obelisk in the ancient granite quarries, offering a remarkable glimpse into the techniques of ancient stone masons. Our final stop for the morning is the beautiful Philae Temple, dedicated to the goddess Isis, painstakingly relocated to Agilkia Island to save it from flooding. Enjoy a traditional Aswan lunch before transferring to Aswan Airport for your flight back to Cairo. Upon arrival, you'll be taken to your hotel in Cairo for your final night.
- Aswan High Dam — Explore this massive dam, crucial for Egypt's modern development and electricity generation.
- Unfinished Obelisk — Gain insight into ancient Egyptian quarrying techniques at the site of this colossal, unfinished monument.
- Philae Temple — Visit the stunning island temple dedicated to the goddess Isis, with its intricate carvings and serene setting.
