After breakfast on Day 3 you transfer to Cairo airport and fly south, and your guide splits the day between the West Bank and the East Bank of the Nile. West Bank: Valley of the Kings and Hatshepsut's Temple
The West Bank comes first. The Valley of the Kings has tombs that include Tutankhamun's, and you also see Howard Carter's restored home and Queen Hatshepsut's cliffside temple. The Colossi of Memnon follow on the way to lunch.
East Bank: Karnak Temple and Luxor Temple
The day then crosses to the East Bank. Karnak Temple, built by generations of rulers and dedicated to Amun, is the first stop, followed by the adjacent Luxor Temple. You then fly back to Cairo, where your driver takes you to your hotel.

Your tour manager meets you at Cairo International Airport and takes you by air-conditioned car to your hotel. There the tour manager goes through the itinerary with you.
Giza PyramidsAfter breakfast, your licensed Egyptologist guide leads you to the Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx. Following a local lunch, you visit the Grand Egyptian Museum and the treasures from Tutankhamun's tomb. The day closes with time at the Khan El Khalili bazaar before you head back to the hotel. Meals: breakfast and lunch.
Breakfast comes first, then a transfer to Cairo airport and the flight south to Luxor.
