Itinerary
Day 1: Welcome to the Captivating City of Cairo
Upon arriving in Cairo, the vibrant capital city of Egypt, a Travel Joy Egypt tour guide will greet you at Cairo International Airport. Once you complete the arrival formalities, you will be driven by private A/C transport to your hotel accommodation in the city. At the hotel, the guide will discuss the exciting itinerary ahead over the following days. Relax for the rest of the day as you settle in and explore Cairo at your own leisure.
The Grand Egyptian MuseumDay 2: Marvel at the Pyramids and Grand Egyptian Museum Treasures
Following breakfast, spend the morning at the renowned Grand Egyptian Museum, home to over 250,000 artifacts from Egypt's rich past spanning 5000 years. Don't miss viewing the impressive Tutankhamun exhibition. Afterwards, travel to Giza to witness up close the three world-famous Great Pyramids of Cheops, Chephren and Mykerinos along with the iconic Great Sphinx. Enjoy lunch and return to your Cairo hotel in the evening.
Day 3: Flying South to Enchanting Luxor
After breakfast and check out from your Cairo hotel, transfer to the airport for your short flight to Luxor. Upon arrival, embark on exploration of Luxor's eastern shore starting at the colossal Karnak Temple complex. Later, visit the Luxor Temple, also known as the Temple of Thebes. Check into your Luxor hotel accommodation for the night.
Day 4: Luxor's Majestic West Bank Tombs and Monuments
A morning trip is planned over the Nile River today to Luxor's west bank. Start with a visit inside the awe-inspiring Valley of the Kings tombs featuring the final resting places of kings such as Tutankhamun. Additionally, see the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut and Colossi of Memnon. Then fly back to Cairo in the afternoon.
Day 5: Farewell Cairo
After one last breakfast in Cairo, your Travel Joy Egypt representative will assist with your departure transfer to the airport. Bid farewell to Egypt as you take with you treasured memories from your amazing 5 Day Cairo Luxor experience.
