This 2-day shore excursion from Safaga Port combines Cairo and Luxor sightseeing in a single trip, using domestic flights to connect the Red Sea coast with both cities before an overnight stay in Luxor.
After being met at the port, the group is transferred to Hurghada Airport for a flight to Cairo, where the day covers the Giza Pyramids, the Great Sphinx, and the Valley Temple at Chephren's complex, followed by lunch and a look at ancient Egyptian artifacts. A further flight then continues on to Luxor, where an overnight hotel stay allows the next morning's tour of the Karnak Temple complex and the royal tomb chambers of the Valley of the Kings, before the return journey to Safaga Port.

Itinerary
A Travel Joy Egypt representative will greet guests upon disembarking from their cruise ship in Safaga Port. Private transport will transfer the group to Hurghada Airport around 40 minutes away. Catching their flight to Cairo, an expert guide will welcome visitors upon arrival to guide them throughout the day's activities
First, marvel at the iconic Giza Pyramids and Great Sphinx before taking time to explore the Valley Temple at Chephren's complex. A nourishing lunch will be enjoyed at a local restaurant. Next comes witnessing the immense collection of 5000 years of Egyptian artifacts stored within the security of the Egyptology Museum. After an enriching day, guests will take an evening flight to Luxor where transportation awaits to the accommodation for overnight rest.
Beginning with breakfast at their Luxor hotel, guests join their guide for explorations. First comes the immense Karnak Temple before entering tomb chambers fit for royalty in the Valley of the Kings. The tour continues onto Hatshepsut's regal temple structures. A local lunch is partaken along the way. Later, Colossi of Memnon statues standing guard since antiquity are also witnessed. At day's end, travelers return to Safaga Port by vehicle, now connoisseurs of the celebrated wonders which created Egypt's Golden Age along the Nile.
