11 Days Oberoi Zahra Nile Cruise and Cairo Tour

The morning goes to the Giza Plateau: the Great Pyramids, the Great Sphinx and the Valley Temple. Lunch comes with a view of the pyramids. In the afternoon you visit the Grand Egyptian Museum, home to the complete Tutankhamun treasures.

• Giza Pyramids Complex — Explore the iconic Great Pyramids of Giza (Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure), symbols of ancient Egyptian ingenuity and power.
• The Great Sphinx — Stand before the colossal, mythical creature with the body of a lion and the head of a human, guarding the Giza plateau.
• Valley Temple — Visit the ancient mortuary temple associated with Khafre's pyramid, used for the purification of the king's mummy.
• Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) — Discover a vast collection of ancient artifacts, including King Tutankhamun's treasures, in this state-of-the-art museum.

After checking out of your Cairo hotel, you transfer to Cairo International Airport for the flight to Hurghada. On arrival you check in at a hotel, and the rest of the day is free to relax.

A boat takes you out for a private snorkelling excursion over the coral reefs. Afterwards you return to your hotel in Hurghada.

• Red Sea Snorkeling Excursion — Take a private boat trip for snorkeling among the marine life and coral reefs of the Red Sea.

A private, air-conditioned transfer takes you from Hurghada to Luxor. You start at the Karnak Temple Complex, then check in to the Oberoi Zahra and have lunch on board. In the evening you visit Luxor Temple while it is lit up, and return to the ship for dinner and an overnight stay.

• Karnak Temple Complex — Explore one of the largest ancient religious sites, with its massive columns, obelisks, and chapels, dedicated primarily to the god Amun-Ra.
• Luxor Temple — See this temple complex, dedicated to the rejuvenation of kingship, lit up at night.

Today you explore Luxor's West Bank: the Valley of the Kings, the mortuary temple of Queen Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon. In the afternoon the Oberoi Zahra sails upstream towards Edfu.

• Valley of the Kings — Enter decorated tombs of New Kingdom pharaohs, including Ramesses II; the tombs of Tutankhamun and Seti I are separate tickets.
• Temple of Hatshepsut — Visit the terraced mortuary temple of the female pharaoh Hatshepsut, set against the Theban cliffs.
• Colossi of Memnon — See the two massive stone statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III, guarding the entrance to his now-vanished mortuary temple.

In the morning you visit the Temple of Horus at Edfu, then have lunch on board. Kom Ombo comes next, on the way to Aswan. This symmetrical double temple is dedicated to Sobek and Horus the Elder. You spend the night on board.

• Temple of Horus at Edfu — Explore this remarkably preserved Ptolemaic temple, dedicated to the falcon-headed god Horus, offering a window into ancient Egyptian rituals.
• Kom Ombo Temple — Visit the double temple dedicated to two gods, Sobek (the crocodile god) and Horus the Elder, with its reliefs.

You leave early with breakfast boxes for a private excursion to Abu Simbel with your guide. You drive back to Aswan and rejoin the Oberoi Zahra for lunch, then relax on board for the rest of the day.

• Abu Simbel Temples — Witness the massive rock-cut temples of Ramesses II and his queen Nefertari, a UNESCO World Heritage site moved to preserve them from Lake Nasser.

After breakfast you disembark in Aswan. You visit the Aswan High Dam, the Unfinished Obelisk and Philae Temple, with lunch at a local restaurant. You then transfer to Aswan International Airport for the flight to Cairo and on to your Cairo hotel.

• Aswan High Dam — Learn about this modern engineering achievement, crucial for Egypt's agriculture and electricity.
• The Unfinished Obelisk — Located in the ancient granite quarries, this massive obelisk provides insights into ancient Egyptian stone working and temple construction.
• Philae Temple — Visit the beautiful Temple of Isis, rescued and relocated to Agilkia Island, accessible by motorboat.

The day begins in Old Cairo with the Hanging Church and the Amr Ibn Al-Aas Mosque, followed by the Khan El Khalili Bazaar. It ends with a farewell dinner.

• The Hanging Church — Discover one of the oldest and most significant Coptic churches in Cairo, suspended over the Roman Fortress of Babylon.
• Amr Ibn Al-Aas Mosque — Visit the first mosque built in Egypt and Africa, a cornerstone of Islamic history in the region.
• Khan El Khalili Bazaar — Explore Cairo's historic souk, a maze of alleys with spices, jewelry and handicrafts.
