Itinerary
The First Stop
A representative from Travel Joy Egypt will pick you up directly from Port Said Port holding a sign with your name. You will then be transported in an air-conditioned vehicle to Cairo which takes approximately 3 hours, joining a police convoy along the way. The first stop will be to see the Pyramids of Khufu, Khafre and Menkaure at the Giza Pyramids Complex. Following this you will visit the Great Sphinx, which has the body of a lion and the head of a pharaoh dating back to the time of Khafre. The tour also includes visiting the Valley Temple near the Pyramid of Khafre. Lunch will be at a local restaurant in Cairo.
Next Stop
Next is a visit to the Grand Egyptian Museum, home to the world's largest collection of Egyptian artifacts, including treasures belonging to King Tutankhamun. A demonstration on the ancient Egyptian art of papermaking from reeds will be held at an oriental shop. Limited time is provided for souvenir shopping before returning to Port Said.
