After being collected at the port, the group is driven roughly three hours to Cairo to see the Pyramids of Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure along with the Great Sphinx and the Valley Temple of Khafre. The itinerary then shifts to a Nile lunch cruise running from about 3:30 to 5:30 PM, combining an hour of sailing with a buffet lunch and views of Cairo's riverside landmarks.
A stop at a Papyrus Institute for souvenir shopping is included before the drive back to Port Said; because of travel time, guests should not expect to be back at the ship before roughly 9 PM.
A private English-speaking guide and a private air-conditioned vehicle accompany the group throughout, and the price includes entrance fees to the pyramid sites, the Nile cruise lunch, bottled water on board, and all taxes and service charges; only tipping and unlisted extras are additional. Itinerary
A representative from Travel Joy Egypt will pick you up beside the exit of Port Said port, holding a sign with your name. You will then be transferred by air-conditioned vehicle to Cairo, a 3 hour drive.
Get excited visiting the Great Pyramids of Khufu, Khafre and Menkaure in Giza. Then see the Great Sphinx, the body of a lion and head of Khafre dating back to his time. Also included is viewing the Valley Temple of Khafre.
Next, delight in a relaxing lunch cruise along the Nile for around 2 hours starting at 15:30 and ending at 17:30. This includes a 1 hour sailing experience, a sumptuous buffet lunch while gliding past landmarks of Cairo and entertainment from a folklore show and oriental music.
Finally, you will stop at a Papyrus Institute giving the opportunity to shop for Cairo and Egypt souvenirs before being driven back to your cruise ship in Port Said. Please note: You will not be at the port before 21:00 on the same day, so please check this against your cruise schedule.
