The 8 day tour will take you to some of Egypt’s most iconic destinations including Cairo, Alexandria, Luxor, Aswan and Abu Simbel.
This 8-day tour covers Cairo, Luxor, Aswan, and Alexandria, moving between destinations by domestic flight and private vehicle to take in the Giza pyramids, the Grand Egyptian Museum, Luxor and Karnak temples, Abu Simbel, and Alexandria's Greco-Roman sites.
The Cairo days cover the Giza Pyramid Complex, the Great Sphinx, the Valley Temple, and the Grand Egyptian Museum's Tutankhamun-linked treasures, before a flight south to Luxor for the West Bank's Valley of the Kings and other tomb sites. The itinerary then continues to the Temple of Edfu and the twin sanctuaries of Kom Ombo, dedicated to Sobek and Haroeris, before an early drive to see the colossal Temples of Ramesses II at Abu Simbel at sunrise.
On the way back through Cairo, the trip adds a day in Alexandria covering the remains of the ancient Library of Alexandria, the amphitheater, Pompey's Pillar, and the Qaitbay Citadel.

Itinerary
Upon arrival at Cairo International Airport, a representative from Travel Joy Egypt will greet you and assist with any formalities before transferring you to your hotel in Cairo where you will spend the night.
Giza PyramidsBreakfast will be provided at your hotel. Then an English speaking Egyptologist guide will meet you to kick off your first full day tour. You'll visit the legendary Pyramids of Giza to see the Great Pyramid of Khufu, Pyramid of Khafre and Pyramid of Menkaure, guarded by the iconic Great Sphinx. A local lunch will follow. Next is Saqqara to witness the Step Pyramid complex of Pharaoh Djoser. Finally a drive to Memphis to explore remains from the glorious New Kingdom era like colossal statues of Ramses II at the Open Air Museum. Return to your Cairo hotel for overnight.
The Grand Egyptian MuseumAfter breakfast, your guide will gather you from the hotel for day two's adventures. First is the world's finest Pharaonic collection at the iconic Grand Egyptian Museum. Lunch will be provided. Following is a tour of the fortress of Saladin, the Citadel, and its impressive role in Egypt's history. Finally discover the wonders of Khan El Khalili bazaar, a stunning medieval market. Back to your Cairo hotel for the night.
Breakfast and checkout from your hotel. A transfer will take you to Cairo Airport for your flight south to Luxor. Your Luxor guide will meet and take you on tours of the West Bank, including the exquisite Valley of the Kings tombs like Tutankhamun's. Deir el Bahari and Colossi of Memnon are also included. A local lunch features. Afterwards tour Luxor's iconic East Bank with the world's largest religious complex, the Temples of Karnak and Luxor Temple itself. Check into your Luxor hotel for overnight.
Today includes a guided tour of the supremely preserved Temple of Edfu after breakfast and checkout. Also visit the twin sanctuaries of Kom Ombo, one dedicated to Sobek and the other to Haroeris. Lunch is provided before touring Aswan's highlights - the High Dam and the magnificent rock-cut Temple of Philae on neighboring Agilkia Island via boat. Check into your Aswan hotel for the evening.
Abu Simbel TemplesAn early breakfast and checkout is followed by a trip by private van south to the colossal Temples of Ramses II at Abu Simbel. Witnessing the stunning sunrise there is an unforgettable experience. Afterwards you'll drive to Aswan Airport for your return flight to Cairo where a representative will transfer you to your hotel for overnight.
Following breakfast, your Alexandria guide will gather you for sightseeing including what remains of the legendary Library of Alexandria and the amphitheater. A local lunch is provided before visiting Pompey's Pillar and the Citadel from outside. Return transfer to your Cairo hotel.
