Abu Simbel Day Trip from Aswan (Day 5)

The road from Aswan to Abu Simbel takes 3 to 3.5 hours each way. That is why Day 5 starts early: you take a breakfast box and eat on the way in your private air-conditioned car. Aswan and Philae Temple (Day 6)

On Day 6 you visit the Aswan High Dam and the Unfinished Obelisk, then take a short boat ride to Philae Temple on Agilkia Island, the Ptolemaic sanctuary of the goddess Isis. UNESCO lists Philae and Abu Simbel together as one World Heritage property, the Nubian Monuments from Abu Simbel to Philae. After lunch you fly back to Cairo.
