Karnak TempleYou board in Luxor before lunch and get settled in your cabin. In the afternoon your Egyptologist takes you first to Karnak Temple Complex, then to Luxor Temple. Tea and dinner follow on board, and the ship stays moored in Luxor for the first night.
You can start the day with an optional sunrise balloon over Luxor. On the West Bank, the Valley of the Kings gives you entry to 3 painted royal tombs, with an optional visit to the tomb of Tutankhamun or Seti I. Hatshepsut's temple and the Colossi of Memnon complete the West Bank visit. The ship then sails south through the Esna Lock.
You ride a horse-drawn carriage to Edfu's Ptolemaic Temple of Horus. The day continues at Kom Ombo, where the double temple honours Sobek and Horus the Elder.
Philae TempleIn Aswan you visit Philae Temple, the High Dam and the Unfinished Obelisk in its granite quarry. Philae, the temple of Isis, was relocated in the UNESCO rescue project. In the afternoon you can add a felucca sail or a Nubian village visit as an optional extra.
Abu Simbel TemplesBreakfast on your last morning is followed by disembarkation in Aswan, and we arrange your onward transfer to the airport, the train station or an East Bank hotel. You can also add an Abu Simbel excursion early that morning.
Philae TempleYou board in Aswan before lunch and get settled in your cabin. The afternoon covers the High Dam, Philae Temple by motorboat and the Unfinished Obelisk. The ship stays moored in Aswan for the first night.
Abu Simbel TemplesAn optional pre-dawn excursion takes you to Abu Simbel. The ship then sails north, and in the afternoon you visit Kom Ombo's double temple.
Karnak TempleEdfu comes first, by horse-drawn carriage. Back on board, you sail to Luxor over lunch, then visit Karnak Temple Complex and Luxor Temple in the late afternoon.
