Radamis II Nile Cruise
Overview
Cruise Luxor to Aswan aboard the deluxe Radamis II Nile Cruise. 4 & 5-day full-board sailings, pool, sun deck and Egyptologist guides. From $635 per person.
The Radamis II Nile Cruise sails the storied Luxor-Aswan corridor in deluxe comfort, matching painted-temple days ashore with serene evenings drifting past Nubian shores. From $635.
Step aboard the Radamis II Nile Cruise and trade the rush of land travel for the unhurried elegance of life on the river. This deluxe vessel carries small groups between Luxor and Aswan, threading the most monument-rich stretch of the Nile while you relax on the sun deck, watch feluccas slip past green riverbanks, and let the kitchen and crew take care of everything in between.
Two sailing patterns let you match the cruise to your trip. The 5-day / 4-night program departs every Monday from Luxor and works south through Esna, Edfu and Kom Ombo to Aswan, while the 4-day / 3-night program leaves every Friday from Aswan and heads north.
Both itineraries deliver the headline sights — the Karnak and Luxor Temples, the Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut's terraced temple, the Temple of Horus at Edfu, the dual shrine of Kom Ombo, the island Temple of Philae and the towering High Dam — with optional Abu Simbel and dawn balloon flights on request.
Cabins feature individually controlled air conditioning, panoramic windows, full-size bathtubs, mini-bar and satellite LCD television, so your retreat is as comfortable as the scenery is dramatic. On deck you'll find a swimming pool, a breezy barbecue area and a sun deck made for golden-hour lounging, plus ship-wide WiFi, an on-call doctor and a gift shop. Full-board dining and lively evening entertainment keep the days full from dawn to dusk.
Ideal for couples, families and first-time visitors who want the great temples of Upper Egypt without the crowds, the Radamis II rewards travelers who value comfort and pace. Book with Travel Joy Egypt for licensed Egyptologist guides, private air-conditioned transfers, prices that beat the competition, and round-the-clock local support. Itinerary

Karnak TempleDay 1 (5-Day) — Luxor: Karnak & Luxor Temples
Embark before lunch and ease into life on the Nile. The afternoon is devoted to the East Bank: your guide leads you through the vast Karnak Temple Complex, along the Avenue of Ram-Headed Sphinxes and into the Great Hypostyle Hall with its 134 inscribed columns. Continue to Luxor Temple, glowing in the afternoon sun, where colossal statues of Ramses II and the Abu Haggag Mosque rise above the Sphinx Avenue. Return for tea, dinner and an overnight moored in Luxor.

Valley of the KingsDay 2 (5-Day) — Luxor West Bank: Valley of the Kings, then sail to Esna
This morning cross to the legendary West Bank. Descend into three painted royal tombs in the Valley of the Kings, stand before the multi-terraced temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir el-Bahari, and pause beneath the Colossi of Memnon. Optional entry to the tombs of Tutankhamun or Seti I and a dawn hot-air-balloon flight over Thebes are available. After lunch aboard, sail south through the Esna Lock toward Edfu, with dinner and overnight while cruising.
Day 3 (5-Day) — Edfu & Kom Ombo: Temples of Horus and Sobek
A horse-drawn carriage carries you to the Temple of Horus at Edfu, the most completely preserved sanctuary of antiquity, its Ptolemaic reliefs recounting the struggle between Horus and Seth. Lunch is served aboard as you sail to Kom Ombo, whose symmetrical twin temple honors the crocodile god Sobek and Horus the Elder. View the carved surgical instruments, ancient calendar and Crocodile Mummification Museum, then dine and overnight while sailing on toward Aswan.

Philae TempleDay 4 (5-Day) — Aswan: High Dam, Philae Temple & Unfinished Obelisk
Explore Aswan's mix of modern marvel and ancient artistry. Take in panoramic Lake Nasser views from the High Dam, then board a motorboat to the island Temple of Philae, dedicated to Isis and rescued stone by stone by UNESCO. At the granite quarries, marvel at the colossal Unfinished Obelisk still lying where it cracked. The afternoon is at leisure or an optional felucca sail or Nubian village visit, with dinner and overnight moored in Aswan.

Abu Simbel TemplesDay 5 (5-Day) — Aswan: Disembarkation & Optional Abu Simbel
After a final breakfast aboard you disembark in Aswan. Travelers with extra time can add an early excursion to Abu Simbel, where the rock-cut temples of Ramses II and Queen Nefertari face the rising sun above Lake Nasser. Relocated in a landmark UNESCO rescue, these monumental facades rank among Egypt's most awe-inspiring sights. We then arrange your onward transfer to the airport, train station or hotel.

Unfinished ObeliskDay 1 (4-Day) — Aswan: High Dam, Philae & Unfinished Obelisk
Embark before lunch and settle into your cabin for a first taste of the river. The afternoon belongs to Aswan's signature sights: panoramic Lake Nasser views from the High Dam, a motorboat crossing to the serene island Temple of Philae dedicated to Isis, and a stop at the ancient granite quarries to see the immense Unfinished Obelisk. Return aboard for dinner and an overnight moored in Aswan as you settle into the cruise rhythm.

Abu Simbel TemplesDay 2 (4-Day) — Kom Ombo & Optional Abu Simbel
Early risers can join an optional dawn excursion to Abu Simbel, where the twin rock-cut temples of Ramses II and Nefertari, relocated to escape the rising waters, stand as feats of ancient engineering. Back aboard, the ship sails north to Kom Ombo, whose unique dual temple honors Sobek the crocodile god and Horus the Elder. Tour its medical reliefs and small museum of mummified crocodiles, then dine and overnight while sailing toward Edfu.

Karnak TempleDay 3 (4-Day) — Edfu & Luxor East Bank: Karnak & Luxor Temples
A horse carriage delivers you to the wonderfully preserved Temple of Horus at Edfu, its carved walls telling the story of Horus and Seth. Reboard and sail to Luxor with lunch served aboard. In the late afternoon explore the immense Karnak Temple Complex dedicated to Amun-Re, then catch Luxor Temple aglow at golden hour amid its statues, obelisks and floodlit courtyard. Dinner and overnight moored in Luxor.

Valley of the KingsDay 4 (4-Day) — Luxor West Bank: Valley of the Kings & Disembarkation
After breakfast and check-out, cross to the West Bank for a morning among the Theban necropolis. Explore three royal tombs in the Valley of the Kings, with optional entry to Tutankhamun's tomb. Admire the cliffside terraces of Queen Hatshepsut's temple and pause beneath the Colossi of Memnon, the twin statues of Amenhotep III. We then arrange your onward transfer, closing your river journey beneath the West Bank's grandest monuments.
