Itinerary

Karnak TempleDay 1: Arrival in Luxor & East Bank Exploration
Your adventure begins in Luxor, where our representative will welcome you. Settle into the opulent MS Esplanade, your floating sanctuary for the next five days. After a delightful onboard lunch, we delve into the grandeur of the East Bank. First, the sprawling Karnak Temple complex, an architectural marvel built over millennia, unfolds its secrets. Later, as dusk settles, we visit Luxor Temple, a captivating site beautifully illuminated, dedicated to the rejuvenation of kingship. Dinner and a tranquil overnight stay on board.
- Karnak Temple — A vast open-air museum and the second-largest ancient religious site in the world, built over centuries by many pharaohs.
- Luxor Temple (night visit) — Dedicated to the Theban Triad of Amun, Mut, and Khonsu, this temple is stunningly lit at night, revealing its intricate reliefs and grand colonnades.

Temple of HatshepsutDay 2: West Bank Treasures & Nile Sailing to Edfu
After a hearty breakfast, we cross to Luxor's West Bank, the ancient 'City of the Dead.' Our first stop is the elegant Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut, a stunning example of New Kingdom architecture nestled against the cliffs of Deir el-Bahari. Next, we journey into the fabled Valley of the Kings, the burial place of many pharaohs, including Tutankhamun. Concluding our West Bank exploration, we pause at the colossal statues of Amenhotep III, the Colossi of Memnon. Return to the MS Esplanade for a delicious Egyptian lunch as we commence our leisurely sail south towards Edfu. Enjoy the scenic beauty of the Nile as dinner is served, followed by a peaceful night's rest on the river.
- Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut — A magnificent terraced temple dedicated to the only female pharaoh, Queen Hatshepsut, showcasing her divine birth and successful reign.
- Valley of the Kings — The legendary burial site for pharaohs and nobles of the New Kingdom. Explore selected tombs with vivid wall paintings.
- Colossi of Memnon — Two massive stone statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III, silent guardians standing proudly at the entrance of his lost mortuary temple.

Day 3: Edfu, Kom Ombo, and Sail to Aswan
This morning, a quaint horse-drawn carriage takes us to the remarkably preserved Edfu Temple, dedicated to the falcon-headed god Horus. This Ptolemaic temple offers a captivating glimpse into ancient Egyptian religious practices. Returning to the ship, we enjoy lunch as we continue our scenic cruise. Our next stop is the unique Kom Ombo Temple, a Greco-Roman site distinctively split to honor two deities: Sobek, the crocodile god, and Horus the Elder. After exploring this fascinating duality, we resume our journey to Aswan, relishing dinner and the relaxing ambiance of the Nile.
- Edfu Temple — The second-largest temple in Egypt, exceptionally well-preserved, dedicated to the god Horus. Its full roof and intact walls provide a rare insight into temple life.
- Kom Ombo Temple — A beautiful double temple dedicated to two gods simultaneously: Sobek, the crocodile god of fertility, and Horus the Elder, the falcon-god. Unique in its symmetrical design.

Day 4: Aswan's Engineering & Ancient Marvels
After breakfast in Aswan, our day is dedicated to its iconic landmarks. We begin with the monumental Aswan High Dam, a modern engineering marvel that transformed Egypt. Next, we visit the Unfinished Obelisk in the ancient granite quarries, offering a remarkable insight into ancient stone-cutting techniques. Finally, we take a charming motorboat ride to Philae Temple, beautifully relocated to Agilkia Island, dedicated to the goddess Isis. Lunch and dinner will be served on board, allowing you to relax and enjoy the serene Aswan surroundings.
- Aswan High Dam — A monumental feat of 20th-century engineering, vital for controlling the Nile's annual floods and generating electricity for Egypt.
- Unfinished Obelisk — A massive, partially carved obelisk still lying in its ancient quarry, providing clues about the methods used by ancient Egyptian stonemasons.
- Philae Temple — A stunning temple dedicated to the goddess Isis, saved from the flooding waters of Lake Nasser and meticulously reassembled on Agilkia Island.

Abu Simbel TemplesDay 5: Abu Simbel Excursion & Departure
On our final day, after an early breakfast, we embark on an unforgettable journey to Abu Simbel (this is typically an optional excursion, but here we include it). These colossal rock-cut temples, commissioned by Ramesses II, are among Egypt's most awe-inspiring sights, a testament to ancient ambition and artistry. Witness their grandeur and ingenious design, including the solar alignment phenomenon. After exploring Abu Simbel, we return to Aswan for a delicious lunch at a quality local restaurant before we transfer you to your desired drop-off point, concluding your spectacular Nile cruise.
