White Desert & Bahariya Oasis 2-Day Safari

Your desert adventure begins with an early morning pickup from your Cairo or Giza hotel. We'll set off on a comfortable, air-conditioned drive to the Bahariya Oasis, approximately 350 kilometers southwest of the capital. Along the way, we'll pause for two refreshing breaks. Bahariya is historically significant as a primary source of iron ore, a fact evident in the railway lines traversing the landscape. Upon arrival in Bahariya, our expert 4x4 safari guide will welcome you, ready to navigate the rugged terrain. Our first stop is the striking Black Desert, named for its volcanic rock-covered hills. Continuing our journey, we reach the verdant El Haize Oasis, where you can unwind in its natural hot springs – a welcome treat in the desert. This oasis once thrived as a Roman settlement, and we'll enjoy a delicious, authentic Egyptian lunch here. Before departing, we'll visit the Water Museum to appreciate the vital role of underground water in sustaining desert communities. Next, prepare to be mesmerized by Crystal Mountain, often called the 'Jewel of the Desert,' showcasing stunning quartzite crystals. The journey continues to the breathtaking Valley of Agabat, a remote wonderland of towering white limestone formations, sculpted by millennia of ancient seas. Here, you'll have the thrilling option to try sandboarding down powdery dunes. As the afternoon unfolds, we enter the iconic White Desert National Park, famous for its surreal chalk rock formations resembling mushrooms, camels, and even a 'chicken and tree.' As dusk settles, we'll head back to a secluded campsite within the Black Desert for an authentic desert camping experience. Under a breathtaking, star-studded sky, a traditional Bedouin-style barbecue dinner will be prepared. All necessary camping equipment, including comfortable tents, sleeping bags, and mattresses, are provided for a restful night.
