Overview

Unearth Egypt's ancient secrets on this 10-day luxury classical tour. Explore pyramids, temples, and Nile cities with a private Egyptologist.

This 10-day private tour follows a classical route through Egypt's ancient heartland, from Cairo and Alexandria south to Aswan and Luxor with an Egyptologist guide leading each stop.

Cairo days cover the Giza Pyramids, Saqqara's Step Pyramid and a day trip to Alexandria for its Greco-Roman sites, before a flight to Aswan for the High Dam, the Unfinished Obelisk and Philae Temple. An early excursion to Abu Simbel is followed by a full day on Luxor's East Bank at Karnak and Luxor Temple, then the West Bank's Valley of the Kings. The trip returns to Cairo for the Egyptian Museum, Coptic Cairo and Khan el-Khalili before departure.

Alexandria's stop adds the Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa, Pompey's Pillar, Qaitbay Citadel and the Bibliotheca Alexandrina to the more familiar Nile Valley sites, giving the route a coastal counterpoint to the pharaonic temples further south.

Included are an expert Egyptologist guide, hotel accommodation on a twin-sharing basis, domestic flights between Cairo and Aswan and Luxor and Cairo, a first-class train between Aswan and Luxor, private air-conditioned transfers, listed meals, and entrance fees to every site named in the itinerary.

International flights, the Egypt entry visa, drinks during meals, optional tours and gratuities are not included, making this a straightforward first-timer's introduction to Egypt's main ancient sites.
