Overview

Uncover Egypt's most iconic UNESCO World Heritage sites over 11 days. Enjoy ancient wonders, a luxury Nile cruise, and expert insights.

This 11-day tour is built around Egypt's UNESCO World Heritage sites, covering the standard Cairo-and-Nile route plus the less-visited temples of Abydos, Dendera and the whale fossils of Wadi El Hitan.

After an evening Sound and Light Show at Giza, the Cairo days cover the Giza Pyramids and a flight to Luxor that opens with Abydos and Dendera before reaching Luxor Temple and boarding a Nile cruise. Sailing south, the trip visits Hatshepsut's mortuary temple, Edfu and Kom Ombo, and an excursion to Abu Simbel, before disembarking in Aswan for Philae Temple and the High Dam.

A flight back to Cairo takes in the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization, and a day trip southwest reaches Fayoum's Wadi El Hitan, a UNESCO site known for its fossilized whale skeletons.

Grouping Abydos, Dendera and Wadi El Hitan alongside the Giza Pyramids and Abu Simbel gives this itinerary a heavier emphasis on UNESCO-listed sites than a typical 11-day package.

Included are an Egyptologist guide, seven nights in 5-star hotels and four nights aboard a 5-star Nile cruise on a full-board basis, domestic flights within Egypt, entrance fees to included sites, and private air-conditioned transfers. International flights, the Egypt entry visa, gratuities, beverages during meals and optional excursions such as hot-air ballooning are not included.
