Itinerary
Day 1: Welcome to Egypt & a Nile Dinner Cruise
Welcome to Egypt. On arrival at Cairo International Airport, your private Travel Joy representative meets you at the gate, handles the visa and luggage formalities, and escorts you to a comfortable private vehicle bound for your hotel. Once you have settled in, the evening unfolds aboard a relaxed Nile dinner cruise, gliding past the illuminated waterfront while a warm buffet is served and traditional music and dance fill the deck. This gentle first night lets you shake off the journey and feel the rhythm of the capital before the touring begins in earnest. Your private Egyptologist guide confirms tomorrow's plan, so you know exactly what to expect at the Pyramids. Overnight in Cairo, rested and ready for the ancient wonders that lie ahead of you.
- Nile Dinner Cruise — An easy first evening afloat, with dinner and live entertainment as the lit-up riverbanks slip by.

Giza PyramidsDay 2: Pyramids of Giza, the Grand Egyptian Museum & Saqqara
This morning your private guided tour opens at the Giza Pyramids Complex, where the Great Pyramid of Khufu rises against the desert sky as the last surviving wonder of the ancient world. You stand before the enigmatic Great Sphinx, step into the granite halls of the Valley Temple, and hear how these monuments were raised more than four thousand years ago. Next you explore the Grand Egyptian Museum, Egypt's dazzling new home for Tutankhamun's complete treasures and thousands of artefacts displayed beneath soaring glass. After a relaxed lunch at a quality local restaurant, you continue to Saqqara to admire the Step Pyramid of Djoser, the world's oldest major stone structure and the architectural blueprint for everything at Giza. Throughout the day your Egyptologist brings each site to life with context and stories. Overnight in Cairo.
- Giza Pyramids Complex — The plateau of the three great pyramids, raised for the pharaohs of the Fourth Dynasty.
- The Great Pyramid — Khufu's colossal tomb, the sole surviving wonder of the ancient world.
- The Great Sphinx — The lion-bodied guardian carved from a single ridge of limestone.
- The Valley Temple — The well-preserved granite temple linked to Khafre's pyramid.
- The Grand Egyptian Museum — Egypt's flagship museum, holding Tutankhamun's full collection under one roof.
- Saqqara Step Pyramid — Djoser's stepped monument, the earliest large-scale stone building in Egypt.

Karnak TempleDay 3: Fly to Luxor & Explore the East Bank
After breakfast you transfer to the airport for the short flight to Luxor, the open-air museum built over ancient Thebes. Your private Egyptologist leads you into the vast Karnak Temple, a forest of towering columns and obelisks raised by generations of pharaohs in honour of the god Amun-Ra; you walk the Great Hypostyle Hall and the sacred lake at an unhurried pace. As the heat of the day softens, you return to the city centre for a memorable visit to Luxor Temple by night, when floodlights wash the colonnades and royal statues in gold and the avenue of sphinxes glows against the darkness. This after-dark timing rewards you with cooler air and quieter halls. A relaxed lunch is included between the two temples. Overnight in Luxor, beside the timeless Nile.
- Karnak Temple — A vast complex of halls, pylons and obelisks built over two thousand years for Amun-Ra.
- Luxor Temple by Night — The riverside temple seen under floodlights, connected to Karnak by the avenue of sphinxes.

Valley of the KingsDay 4: Luxor's West Bank & the Valley of the Kings
Today you cross to Luxor's West Bank, the land of the dead where pharaohs prepared for eternity. You then stand before the dramatic terraces of the Temple of Hatshepsut, rising in tiers against sheer limestone cliffs in honour of Egypt's most powerful female pharaoh. Your private guided tour continues to the Valley of the Kings, where you descend into vividly painted royal tombs cut deep into the rock, their colours still astonishingly fresh after three thousand years. On the way you pause at the Colossi of Memnon, two weathered giants that have guarded the Theban plain for thirty-four centuries. A leisurely lunch is served between the sites, and your Egyptologist decodes the hieroglyphs and funerary art so each tomb tells its own story. Overnight in Luxor, with the Nile drifting past your hotel.
- Hatshepsut Temple — The tiered mortuary temple of Egypt's great female pharaoh, set against towering cliffs.
- Valley of the Kings — The royal necropolis of the New Kingdom, its painted tombs hidden in the rock.
- Colossi of Memnon — Two enormous seated statues that once fronted a vanished mortuary temple.

The pace today is deliberately gentle, giving you room to relax after the flight and gather first impressions of a country layered with biblical history, Roman ruins and Bedouin hospitality. Depending on your arrival time, you may enjoy a short panoramic orientation of downtown Amman before settling into your hotel. Over dinner your guide outlines the road ahead, tracing the storied route toward Madaba, the shores of the Dead Sea and, at the journey's climax, the rose-red city of Petra. Overnight in Amman, on the threshold of Jordan's wonders.

You continue to Mount Nebo, the windswept ridge where Moses is said to have gazed upon the Promised Land; on clear days the view reaches across the Jordan Valley toward Jericho and Jerusalem. In the afternoon you descend to the Dead Sea, the lowest point on Earth, where the mineral-rich water lets you float effortlessly and the famous black mud is prized for the skin. Time is set aside to swim and unwind at a beach resort, and a relaxed lunch is included along the way. Overnight beside the Dead Sea, watching the sun sink over the distant hills of the West Bank.
