Leave Marrakech after breakfast and climb into the High Atlas over the Tizi n'Tichka pass, stopping at viewpoints and passing Berber villages. Your destination is Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO-listed fortified village of clay buildings that has been used as a film location many times. After lunch you continue to Ouarzazate, the gateway to the Sahara, and check in for the night.
